The World Health Organization (WHO) on Thursday launched a campaign to raise awareness and encourage suicide prevention in Africa, which has the highest rate of deaths by suicide in the world.
According to its statistics, about 11 people out of 100,000 kill themselves in the region, which exceeds the world average of nine cases of suicide per 100,000 inhabitants.
