Liberia is currently hosting the 10th edition of the Port Management and Harbour Masters Network Conference in Monrovia, bringing together nearly 200 delegates from across West and Central Africa.
Representatives from 22 ports and management associations across 20 countries are attending the high-level meeting, which focuses on improving port operations and safety.
This year’s theme, “Navigating the Challenges of Port Safety and Security,” reflects growing concerns over maritime threats and operational inefficiencies across the region.
Liberian authorities say the event is a timely opportunity to build capacity, strengthen regional cooperation, and modernize Africa’s ports for greater global competitiveness.
