Ghana’s Supreme Court will this morning deliver its judgement on the December 2020 presidential election petition.
2020 presidential candidate of the largest opposition political party, the National Democratic Congress’ John Mahama took the Electoral Commission (EC) and President Nana Akufo-Addo to the court, challenging the declaration of Nana Akufo-Addo as the winner of the poll.
While Mahama, who is a former President contends that President Akufo-Addo did not meet 50%+1 the constitutional threshold to be declared winner, the electoral commission and President Akufo Addo argue otherwise.
