Gambian President Adama Barrow says the Gambia's tourism sector was the hardest hit sector by the Covid-19 travel restrictions, leading to loss of millions of Dollars of revenue for the government.

The tourism sector which provides 25% of the Gross Domestic Product GDP, equally provides over 100,000 jobs for Gambians many of whom had to sit at home.

Speaking during the State of the Nation Address at the National Assembly on Thursday in Banjul, the Gambian leader explain how the presence of the pandemic undercut overall revenue collection.
