President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria has asked the Green Chamber of the National Assembly to amend the 2022 Supplementary Appropriations Act to fund palliative measures against the impact of fuel subsidy removal.

The request convened in a letter read by the Speaker of the House, Tajudeen Abbas, during plenary, seeks 500 billion Naira or 650 million US dollars to activate the government’s plan.
