A tragic incident has left at least seventeen people dead and three others injured in Nigeria’s Kaduna State.

The victims were reportedly attacked by unknown gunmen suspected to be militia herders in the Zango Kataf Local Government Area.

While the police authorities have not yet commented on the incident, the Executive Chairman of the local government area, Francis Sani, provided details to local media about the attack which according to him saw the gunmen shooting sporadically at people’s houses at about 9 pm on Saturday.
