Ghana’s Parliament has summoned the Minister for Transport, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, to address concerns regarding illegal charges imposed by the Ghana Airport Company.

Reports indicate that passengers using the baggage belt overhauling and other maintenance services at Kotoka International Airport will be subjected to a $20 fee for round trips.

Parliament has raised questions regarding the legality of these fees, which are slated to be implemented from May 1, 2024.
