The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), under the jurisdiction of its Western Regional Command, has apprehended 31 ECOWAS nationals believed to be part of syndicates involved in commercial sex work and human trafficking.
The arrests were made during a two-day intelligence operation led by Deputy Superintendent Emmanuel Dams, commencing on Saturday, October 14.
The operation involved a raid on a brothel facility, as well as nearby drinking bars and makeshift structures within the Essiama enclave.
