The UN Refugee Agency, UNHCR, says over three thousand Ivoirians fleeing violence have crossed into neighboring countries.
It says the majority of the refugees sought safe locations inside Liberia.
Violent clashes erupted after the presidential election that was held on 31 October leaving at least a dozen dead and many more injured, according to the latest reports.
According to UNHCR, most of the arrivals are women and children from Côte d’Ivoire’s west and southwest regions.
