The Nigerien President Mohamed Bazoum is on a three-day visit to the troubled northwest region of the country.
Bazoum’s visit to Tahoua comes shortly after his return from Abuja where he attended a mini-conference of select regional leaders chaired by President Bola Tinubu.
As Sankulleh Janko reports, this is the second such visit to the region by the Head of State since assuming office in April 2021.
