In the commune of Abobo, in Abidjan, clashes broke out Wednesday morning between municipal police officers and young scrap metal dealers from the former Abobo Anador Scrapyard.

The latter were protesting against the decision to relocate their business to another site located in Abobo N’Dotré.

This is part of measures taken by municipal authorities in line with an urban redevelopment project.
