A new health report has revealed stagnation in efforts to reduce premature deaths of pregnant women, mothers, and babies.

The last eight years according to the World Health Organization, had the highest count due to declining investment in maternal and newborn health.

As Oge Obierika reports, the WHO report released on Tuesday indicated around 290,000 maternal deaths each year since 2015.
