Liberia no doubt dominated the week with development emanating after the election victory of the former opposition Unity Party’s candidate Joseph Boakai.

Expectations of the population from the president-elect are hitting the roof, just as he promised in a post-victory speech an inclusive government considering the harsh political climate before, during and even after the elections.

In Senegal as the country prepares for the February 2024 general elections. This has changed the political climate with several aspirants already jostling for signatures to secure their candidacy for the number one job in Senegal. Among them are efforts by the “dissolved” Party candidate Bassirou Faye to secure his candidacy from their supporters. There are interests as to how this will play out.
