The United Nations says the world urgently needs a Global Vaccination Plan to bring together all those with the required power, expertise & production capacities.

UN secretary-general – Antonio Guterres Wednesday during the organization’s Security Council virtual meeting, said providing vaccines to all is the biggest moral test before the global community.

Guterres expressed concern that while the covid19 vaccine roll is underway, countries affected by conflict and insecurity are at particular risk of being left behind.

Meanwhile, International partners working to achieve equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccines have appealed to the Global body to ensure people caught in conflict, have access to these lifesaving treatments.

As of 17 February 2020, more than 130 countries have not received a single dose of the covid19 vaccine.
