The Togolese presidency has again postponed the legislative and regional elections, slated for April 20, 2024.
Without a new date, the government in a statement clarified that the postponement will allow the state to carry out the necessary consultations on the contested constitutional reform project adopted on March 25.
Today, April 4th would have marked the commencement of electoral campaigns until the government’s announcement on Wednesday evening.
