In Togo, public authorities are speaking out against the unregulated use of drones and other remote-controlled flying devices.
The minister in charge of civil security, Yark Damehane, and his counterpart in charge of the armies, Essozimna Marguerite Gnakade, said the unregulated drone use is prohibited at a time when the government is making enormous efforts in the fight against insecurity.
The ministers therefore reiterated that the import and use of any drone type flying machine on the territory are subject to strict provisions including authorization from the Ministry of Security and Civil Protection and an authorization to use from the Ministry of the Armed Forces.
