The Togolese government says it is seeking new ways and advanced measures to counter terrorists who continue to ravage the Savannah region.

Like its Sahelian neighbour Burkina Faso, recent activities by extremists especially in Togo’s border communities, have killed many and displaced hundreds.

Many continue to live in dire situations far from schools, health facilities, and limited access to food.
