Naval officials from three West African countries on Tuesday launched a joint maritime security platform known as Operation Safe Domain.
However, Niger the fourth signatory country of this operation was absent.
No official comment was issued regarding Niamey’s absence, but analysts suggest, the military takeover in the country and the rift between the Junta and regional armed forces over the imminent military intervention in the country to restore constitutional rule as some reasons.
