The Fifth Legislature of the National Assembly of the Gambia has come to an end as it held its final Ordinary Session on Monday.
During the 5-year period, the parliament passed 53 bills including the Constitutional Review Commission, the Human Rights Commission and the Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Bill.
The Speaker said the fifth legislature during this period has transformed from one political party dominance to a more pluralized Assembly with multi party representation
