The political landscape in Benin republic remains tensed over the appointment of an opposition member and secretary general of the former ruling party as the country’s opposition leader.
Paul Hounkpè was this week appointed by the Beninese President – Patrice Tallon.
Although determined to truly challenge President Talon, the new Beninese opposition leader has been criticized as not competent enough for the task.
He has no elective mandate and many of his compatriots consider him unfit for this function.
