Another strike has hit the government of Ghana as teachers at all 46 colleges of education across the nation Wednesday indefinitely laid down their tools.
They are on strike because of protracted negotiations for improved conditions of service for more than a year.
Earlier this year the teachers went on strike after the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission failed to settle with them on discussions for new terms of service.
The National Labor Commission intervened and the government promised to enforce the Ghanaian Labor Commission’s direction.
But as Atiewin Mbillah-Lawson in Accra reports, this has not been done.
