The Enforcement Task team in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja, has arrested some suspected drug dealers in parts of the city.
The arrest followed the demolition of illegal structures and shanties suspected to be criminal hideouts.
Senior Special Assistant on Monitoring, Inspection and Enforcement to the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Ikharo Attah, who led the team lamented the construction of illegal structures on road corridors.
On the arrest of the suspected drug dealers, he noted that it is not unusual to find such persons in places of that nature even as he assured that the cleanup exercise will be sustained because of the rising spate of security breaches in and around the nation’s capital.
