Local authorities in Cameroon on Thursday announced that separatists in the southwest attacked and burned a district hospital.

According to the officials, the incident on the night of Wednesday through Thursday morning took place in the Manyu department in the southwest of the country.

The director of the health facility, said all the buildings were burned down except for the Pharmacy adding that the motive for the attack on the hospital remains unknown.
