The Nigerian Army has solicited the cooperation of the media in its protracted fight against insecurity in the country.

General Lucky Irabor, Chief of Defense Staff at the opening of a three-day conference on "Enhancing Journalist-Military" cooperation said both parties are critical to fostering security in the country.

He urged journalists to use the power of media to disseminate verified information, particularly on issues of the security crisis that has gripped some parts of the country.
