A dismissed soldier is among three suspects apprehended by the police in connection to a failed kidnap attempt in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

The arrest, the police authorities say followed a response to a distress call while the kidnappers broke into a residential estate where they attempted to take away an entire family.
