The fight against the sale, distribution and consumption of the synthetic drug KUSH is reaching a new height as the government announces a drastic measure.

Effective immediately, Vice President Mohammed Julde Jalloh says ‘No Kush Cartel owner or member arrested will be granted bail’.

This directive issued on Tuesday at a town hall meeting in Freetown, is part of efforts to curtail the prevailing existence of drug intake by young people in the country resulting in several deaths.

David Vicent reports that the meeting aimed at strategizing efforts to combat the spread of Kush, an endemic substance in Sierra Leone.
