In the late afternoon hours of Thursday 17th September 2020, a small but major bridge on Savage Street in Freetown collapsed urging state authorities such as the Sierra Leone Roads Authority to immediate action.
Savage Street is a major route from the central and east of Freetown to the wider west of the city.
Its bridge connecting the Saint John intersection to the main motor road Brookfield’s was constructed in 1959.
