Scores of residents of the Sierra Leonean capital, Freetown, have been displaced after floods destroyed their homes.

It is not the first time that residents in parts of Freetown have been displaced due to flood.

In August 2017, over 1000 people lost their lives in a devastating mudslide, which followed days of torrential rains.

Flooding in the city has been blamed on the construction of structures in waterways.

Mohammed Bah is the communications officer for the National Disaster Management Agency of Sierra Leone.
