The governments of Guinea and Sierra Leone have agreed on a framework to resolve a growing border dispute between their countries.
Recall Sierra Leonean President Julius Maada Bio recently accused Guinean forces of occupying a Sierra Leonean village along their common border and asked ECOWAS to intervene.
The delegation visited Conakry and engaged the Guinean Government on the incursion into Yengah by the Guinean military and the closure of the main Sierra Leone – Guinea land border.
According to a statement from Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Information and Communication, the Sierra Leonean delegation headed by Honourable Dr. Abass Chernor Bundu who doubles as the Speaker of parliament held talks with his Guinea counterparts on amicably resolving the growing border crisis.
