The process employed over 15000 enumerators across the country using a 100% digital based system with its cartography validated internationally.

Localities, wards, chiefdoms, districts, and regional populations were all embedded in the provisional result which has been released today Tuesday 31st May 2022. 

Kenema district in the Eastern region tops the list with the population of the capital city – Freetown reduced by almost half from the last census.
