Since 2005, the Amputee and War Wounded Association in Sierra Leone has been on the heels of successive governments seeking for compensation.
To help them access the compensation they feel is owed to them by the 2005 Cabinet decision; the Association just concluded a meeting with two of the four major stakeholders from whom they are expecting assistance.
Present were the Director of Social Welfare in the Ministry of Social Welfare and Head of Programs at National Commission for Social Action.
However, there were no representatives from the Ministries of Health and Education.
Pastor Tamba Finnoh is Head of Education for the Association and has been speaking to Patrick Sallia about the meeting.
