Reactions continue to trail after Senegal’s Constitutional Council released the list of presidential candidates over the weekend.

Initially comprising 73 individuals, the field has now been narrowed down to 20 candidates authorized to vie for the position of the first gentleman of the country.

Karim Wade, the son of former president Abdoulaye Wade, is considering legal action, while the supporters of incarcerated opponent Ousmane Sonko view the outcome as an unjust act.
