Senegalese President, Macky Sall on Tuesday called for "vigilance, responsibility and respect for the rules of prevention" against the coronavirus disease. 

It comes as the country continues to record an increasing number of Covid19 cases.

President Sall made the appeal when he participated at a ceremony to inaugurate Fann University Hospital Center of the new Infectious and Tropical Diseases Service.

The Head of State congratulated the Minister of Health and invited him to reactivate the treatment centers as the virus continues to spread.

He said health workers alone cannot halt the spread of the disease, adding that this can only be achieved by collective means.
