Senegalese opposition coalition Yewi Askan Wi on Wednesday rallied against the decision of the Constitutional Council.

Last week, the council invalidated the national list of the coalition's incumbents for the legislative elections scheduled for July 31; saying they detected an error in the composition of the list.

The pronouncement means some of the opposition figures will be excluded from the elections including 2nd runner up of the 2019 presidential elections Ousmane Sonko; a man who has also declared his intention to be president come 2024.

As Tofik Abdul Nasir reports, the coalition says, the decision by the council is unacceptable.
