The front of candidates for the February 25 presidential election (FC25), bringing together 16 of the 19 candidates competing in the 2024 presidential election, has rejected the dialogue proposed by President Macky Sall to set the date of the election.

Anta Babacar Ngom, the only female candidate, on Friday during a press briefing in Dakar said they have only one word in FC25 which is not responding to the dialogue.

We cannot bring together people and personalities who do not have the same objectives and ask them to dialogue, Daouda Ndiaye another candidate declared.

Cheikh Tidiane Youm, a representative of candidate Aliou Mamadou Dia, reiterated the refusal of the FC25 to respond to the dialogue proposed by President Macky Sall and announced the introduction of an appeal to the constitutional council.
