Opposition figures Khalifa Sall and Karim Wade could once again be eligible for Senegal’s Presidency.

This comes after the political committee of the national dialogue reached a consensus to amend articles L28 and 29.

These two articles of the electoral code prevented them from standing for election after having conviction records.

At the end of the national dialogue, if these proposals are adopted, the former mayor of Dakar Khalifa Sall, and Karim Wade, son of the former president, could be candidates in the 2024 presidential election.

More details Maty Sy.
