The government of Senegal has extended by a week a night time curfew to stall the further spread of the coronavirus which has now infected over twenty thousand people, killing hundreds of them.
The measure has so far been limited to the capital Dakar and Thies, a nearby region with the highest number of cases.
The curfew has been timed between 9pm and 5 am.
