Reporters Without Borders has deplored the recent spate of attacks against journalists in Guinea Bissau and called on the government to bring the attackers to justice.
In less than a week, two journalists critical of the regime have been brutally beating, something the rights advocacy group for journalists say must stop as it casts a negative image on the country.
The latest victim of the brutality is journalist Adao Ramalho who was recently beaten and injured reportedly by law enforcement officers during the dispersal of a political rally in the capital of Bissau.
Reporters Without Borders West Africa Director is Assane Diagne.
