The Nigerian Government has ordered the Nigerian Railway Corporation, NRC, to hand over the processing of train passengers to private firm, Secure ID, in a bid to combat attacks on the rail lines.
The country's Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi gave the directive during a meeting with the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission, ICRC in Abuja
Mr Amaechi said the move will be beneficial in reducing train attacks in Nigeria and enable the firm to match faces with the names of passengers.
