Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Company, NNPC Limited, Mr Mele Kyari says the declining state of the country's refineries is to blame for the current fuel scarcity and hike in the price of diesel.
Mr Kyari who was speaking to a local media also stated that the Ukraine and Russia war added pressure on countries to increase supply of petroleum products.
He revealed that over 200 illegal facilities were operating in the country which had made matters worse.
