Newly appointed Nigerien Prime Minister Ali Mahamane Lamine Zeine is meeting with state officials as part of his state visit.

Lamine Zéine was upon arrival on Tuesday welcomed by his Chadian counterpart Saleh Kebzabo.
Chad, a stronghold in the Sahel and Niger’s neighbour has been active in resolving the political impasses in Niamey since the July 26 power grab that ousted President Mohammed Bazoum.

As Oge Obierika reports, the Nigerien Prime Minister’s visit to Ndjamena is his first oversee trip since his appointment last Monday.
