The Nigerian military has called for calm particularly among residents of the south-south region after video clips of several UN heavy-duty trucks went viral on social media.

The uproar followed the unusual presence of the Peacekeeping vehicles and hardware in Benin, the Edo state capital.

For many social media users in the region, the sighting of the trucks last week perhaps signals chaos or war –  a notion the army refuted.
