Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday commissioned a 2.5-billion U.S. dollar Dangote fertilizer plant in the country's Lagos Lekki Free Trade Zone.
The president said the plant is an endorsement of his administration target of food sufficiency.
He adds that the fertilizer plant, pegged to be the largest in Africa will reduce the country's dependence on imported fertilizers and create employment for Nigerians.
