In Nigeria, former President Goodluck Jonathan has described the 2014 abduction of the Chibok schoolgirls as an “indelible scar” on his presidency.
He made the remarks at the launch of “SCARS: Nigeria’s Journey and the Boko Haram Conundrum,” a memoir by former Defence Chief General Lucky Irabor.
Jonathan admitted that the tragedy continues to haunt him, especially as several of the abducted girls remain unaccounted for, underscoring the deep emotional and national impact of the incident.
