The Chadian President– Idriss Derby Itno over the weekend visited Abuja – Nigeria’s capital for a one-day official visit.
Talks between Nigerian Leader President Muhammdu Buhari and his Chadian counterpart focused the dwindling of the Lake Chad and security threats facing both countries.
Buhari commented on the declining water supply around the from the Lake which he said was below 90 percent and required immediate intervention.
On the sidelines of the presidential visit, Idriss Derby responded to questions from journalists essentially on the multinational joint task force operation to end insurgency in the Lake Chad Basin.
