In Nigeria, five more passengers on board the ill-fated Kaduna-Abuja train attacked by terrorists on March 28, 2022 have regained freedom.
Publisher of Desert Herald, Tukur Mamu, who had been involved in negotiations for the release of the abductees, confirmed the development on Tuesday.
It is however unclear if ransom was paid for their release but the family members of victims released earlier had confirmed that they paid at least 100 million Naira, that is approximately 240 Thousand US Dollars before their loved ones were freed.
