Nigeria’s Senate on Wednesday confirmed Abdulrasheed Bawa as the new chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
His confirmation comes after he appeared before the upper chamber for screening.
There was some controversy surrounding Bawa’s appointment with many suggesting that he is too young and others questioning his competence,
The forty-year-old who has worked with the anti-graft agency for 16 years outlined his credentials and achievements at the agency over the years when he appeared before the senate on Wednesday.
