Forty eight hours after a building collapse in Nigeria’s commercial hub Lagos, the state disaster management agency, LASEMA says rescue operations are ongoing to save persons trapped in the rubble.
The agency has so confirmed that four people were killed and five others have been rescued, but the number of trapped persons remains unknown.
LASEMA says the building had been captured by the Lagos State Building Control Agency, LASBCA District Office, served with all statutory notices, and sealed at the district and central enforcement levels before it caved in.
