Nigeria: #EndSARS – Major cities institute curfews

Major cities across Nigeria have begun the enforcement of curfew and the ban on protest as ENDSARS campaign turns violent leading to attack on police stations and public properties.

The government of the South-south Edo state has already announced a 24hour curfew while the manhunt for more than 1,990 escapes during a prison break in the state capital – Benin is on.

In the seat of power -Abuja, military personnel are positioned at the three major entrances into the city including the airport, all originally besieged by the protesters.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s Commercial hub – Lagos state has thousands of demonstrators on the streets despite the announcement of a 24hour indefinete curfew by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Northcentral plateau state is as well caught up in the uprising.

However, President Muhammadu Buhari has been called upon to address the agitating youths.
