Nigeria’s National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) is launching an investigation into Indomie Noodles after Taiwan and Malaysia recalled some of the products due to possible carcinogenic substances found in them.
According to a statement by NAFDAC’s Director General, Professor Mojisola Adeyeye the Food Safety and Applied Nutrition Directorate and Post Marketing Surveillance Directorate of NAFDAC will collect random samples of Indomie noodles from production facilities and markets to aid the investigation.
